Víctor Pereda, a promise in songwriting
Inspired by great authors and interpreters of the Trova, since 2017 Víctor Pereda began a path within the Pop ballad with themes that speak of love and daily experiences. From the central area of Veracruz, he seeks little by little to earn a place in the author´s song.
The independent singer-songwriter originally from Rio Blanco and engineer by profession, he began his career in 2010, influenced by national talents such as Rául Ornelas, Edgar Oceransky, Rodrigo Rojas, Lascano Malo, among many others.
In 2017 he released his first album and the only one to date, ‘Si Tuviera Que Elegir´, in which prominent regional poets and composers participated, giving this material a characteristic essence.
Víctor Pereda comes from a family dedicated to music and various artistic activities. His father, for example, is a cartoonist and illustrator, as well as being the creator of the album cover.
The singer-songwriter has released four singles that come from this first production with their respective videos, among which are one of the most outstanding, entitled ´Dejalo asi´.
He describes his musical style as Pop ballad, although he considers Trova as his main influence and main base. ´My music is like the sountrack of the romantic moments of a sentimental couple or of someone who reflects in the solitude of his room´.
Víctor Pereda is a oung singer-songwriter that is looking for a place within author´s music at a national level, it is one of his dreams that he hopes to see materialize. Likewise, he is already preparing a second record material that he would release next 2023.
´I compose and make my music, so I look for one of the great authors of the genre to record some of my songs´.
