Unidentified flying objects (UFOs) have been the subject of controversy for decades around the world. World UFO day is celebrate on July 2, promoted by thousands of fervenr believers, followers and private researchers of this phenomenon and their iron belief that we are not alone in the universe and that there are more advanced beings in outer space. These objects, seen in the skies by witnesses, have generated numerous debates and theories about their origin and nature.
What are the UFOs?
UFOs are objects in the sky that are observed and reported by witnesses, but cannot be immediately identified as phenomena or conventional objects. UFOs can be presented in various forms, such as strange lights, disc-shaped objects, spheres, triangles, among others.
It’s important to note that term “UFO” refers only to the description of an unknown object in the sky and does not automatically imply that it is an extraterrestrial spacecraft. UFOs can have various natural o conventional explanations, such as balloons, drones, unusual atmospheric phenomena, perception errors or optical illusions.
Why the fascination about UFOs?
The phenomenon of UFOs has generated great interest and speculation regarding the possibility of the existence of extraterrestrial life and visits of begins from other planets. Some reports of UFO sightings have come to theories and hypotheses suggesting that certain sightings may be to extraterrestrial technology
The fascination about UFOs has existed for decades and due to several factors:
- The unknown and mysterious: UFOs represent the unknown and arouse curiosity in people. The possibility of the existence of extraterrestrial beigns or advanced technologies beyond our understanding generates intrigue and speculation.
- The possibility of extraterrestrial life: the search for extraterrestrial life has been a recuring theme in science fiction and popular imagination. UFOs are considered by many as possible evidence of extraterrestrial visitis, which fuels the idea that we’re not alone in the universe.
- The idea of the extraordinary: UFOs sightings are often accompanied by accounts of unusual experiences, such as abductions, close encounters and paranormal phenomena. These stories attract attention and stimulate people’s imagination.
- The desire of an answer: OFUs arouse the desire to find explanations to unexplained phenomena. The lack of clarity in sightings and the difficulty to find solid evidences generate debates and conspiratives theories who seek to decipher the enigma of UFOs.
The most known sightings around the world
- Roswell, New Mexico (July 1947): has generated countless theories and conspiracies about the existence of extraterrestrial life.
- Sao Paulo, Brazil (1986): about 20 UFOs were detected by radar, which disappeared when military planes appeared to intercept them in the area. Experts determined that they were debris ejected from the Soviet space station Salyut-7.
- Mexico (1991): this sighting coincided with an astronomical phenomenon that occurred during that year. Thousands of people went out to see the eclipse, observing an unusual object in the sky.
- Arizona, United States (March 13, 1997): this is considered one of the most emblematic sightings. In the city of Phoenix, a group of strange and unusual lights were observed in the sky, which progressively lit up.
- Mexico (March 5, 2005): during a reconnaissance flight by the 501st squadron of the Mexican Air Force to locate drug traffickers’ ships, the video system captured about 11 UFOs.
- Jerusalem (January 2011): a light descended on the Dome of the Rock Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. It then sped away into the sky at high speed. The camera located in the sky dome of Jerusalem captured red lights making a harmonious movement, whose images show no evidence of having been altered or modified.
